Building Anew

Over two years into a pandemic, the eruption of a war that has not only worsened the economic consequences of a widespread disease but has revived an existential threat once thought dismissed in the last decade of the 20th Century, the Association for Good Government faces challenges in a spirit of hope and not despair.

What is keeping us busy at the moment

Reading Courses

We are in the middle of reading, reflecting upon and discussing The Land Question, originally published by Henry George as the Irish Land Question until he expanded its scope to cover the universal problem of private property in land. Not surprising that the issues raised then are relevant to today's issues.

Internships Begin

We are commencing an internship program open to students, retirees and anyone with the leisure and interest to study, learn, engage and actively participate in our regular activities. Learning and education are best done with a mix of individual and cooperative effort.

Economic History

This is a course discusses the parralels of thought and action, theory and practice and of actions and consequences that stretches as far back as the African diaspora to the contemporary era of globalisation, from the beginnings of civilisation to  current events.

Research and Development

Early Georgists have had the tradition of propagating the political economy from the grassroots, through deliberative engagement with the communities.  We are reviving this practice of Henry George by reaching out and extending our think-tank services strategically to where hope in the most important resources requires nurture and encouragement -- where crises strike and both government and charity seem inadequate.
